Growing up in the country I have a deep affinity for farmland and barns, really anything reminiscent of agriculture and farming. When a friend shared an inspiration photo with me of this local barn in Weaverville I knew I had to paint it!

This 6x8 Original is painted on a deep set birchwood panel and it is full of texture and expressive color. I spent a long time with the palette knife.. I love how it sweeps the color across the canvas. I hope you do too.
