Peaceful Marsh Study

As I sat down to paint this Friday Original, I found myself in need of a peaceful moment... often times a hard day can get the best of me by 2pm. How about you? Picking up a pencil to sketch, my mind easily wandered to a place that feels like PEACE to me. I don't know if it's the slow flowing water or the gentle swaying of the marsh grass, but the marsh is forever a peaceful pace for me. Perhaps it's the same for you. 

The thick brush strokes in a painting study offer something truly unique. Often, studies are painted in one studio setting, capturing the main idea of a landscape or subject. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it.
