Craggy Gardens is a most-loved hike here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. When we first moved to the Asheville area, weekend hikes were one of our regular rhythms. I can still see my eager little ones bolting ahead to be “first” on the trail.
I love the thick brush strokes that a painting study offers. Often studies are painted in one short studio setting, capturing the main idea of a landscape or subject. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it.
